BIOGRAPHY

Tessa de Josselin is a French/Australian actress and voiceover artist based in Sydney.  

 On screen she is best known for her series regular role of Billie Ashford on Network Seven’s Home and Away (2014-2017) has enjoyed several other leading television credits, including the FX series Mr Inbetween (2022), SBS’ crime miniseries, Dead Lucky (2018), ABC series Ready For This (2017), and the lead role of Samantha in two seasons of In Your Dreams (2012-2015) for the Seven Network and NDR Germany. Tessa’s feature film credits include Holding the Man (2015), directed by Neil Armfield, and a leading role in Umbrella Entertainment’s comedy feature, Paper Champions (2020) which had its premiere at MIFF 2021. 

On air, her unique husky sound has voiced hundreds of national and international campaigns for leading brands, businesses and government agencies. 

Outside of performance, Tessa is a passionate environmental advocate holding both undergraduate and master’s degrees in environmental sciences. She is the Sustainable Content and Practitioner Lead with environmental non-profit Sustainable Screens Australia and featured heavily in the Surfrider/Patagonia documentary Southern Blast (2023), directed by the award winning Matty Hannon.  

 In addition, Tessa produces and hosts her own independent podcast The Nature Between Us which aims to demystify environmental issues and engage a wider audience in the climate conversation.  

 A final fun fact – Tessa is an accomplished competitive surfer and black belt martial artist!
