BIO
For the past 20 years, Sam Downs has worked across all areas of media production. After gaining his degree in Media, Sam started out as a copywriter in radio. He then managed a website for a TV network before becoming a promo producer for various TV channels, then a freelance writer & director of commercials, then Creative Services Manager of an Australian free to air TV network. Despite his love for short form commercials & promos, Sam also spent a number of years making long form television programs at such places as Fremantle Media, Crackerjack Productions and the Nine Network.
Sam has won numerous awards for his work, both here and abroad. He now utilises his expertise to help others get the most out of their production by providing the best freelancers Australia has to offer through RMK Crew.
