Pia Miranda has worked extensively in film, theatre and television over the past 20 years. Her acting career began after graduating from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Arts in performance and dance. Pia also studied speech, drama and movement at the Atlantic Theatre Company in New York.

In 2001 Pia won an AFI for best actress for her lead role in the feature film Looking for Alibrandi. Her other film credits include Garage Days, Travelling Light , the award-winning The Girl who Swallowed Bees , The Tender Hook, Three Blind Mice, Surviving Georgia and Goddess.

Pia is a sought after television actor and has an impressive body of work behind her  including Neighbours, All Saints, The Secret Life of Us, Grass Roots, Sea Patrol, The Time of our Lives, It’s a Date, Wentworth, True Story with Hamish and Andy, Mustangs FC and Back in Very Small Business. Her theatre credits are just as impressive having worked with The Sydney Theatre Company, Melbourne Theatre Company, Ensemble Theatre, State Theatre Company of South Australia and Glen St Theatre.

Recently Pia was a contestant on the 4th season of Australian Survivor,  Champions V Contenders  and was crowned Sole Survivor with a unanimous 9-0 victory.

Pia has also been a busy voice artist for the past 18 years, a job that she passionately loves.  She has a versatile and likeable voice that is suited to anything from natural, soft sell to retail and conversational reads are her specialty. Pia’s laid back and friendly attitude makes her a joy to work with and her years of experience as an actor means that she loves taking direction and brings a wealth of knowledge and professionalism with her at all times.
