Gail Knight

Biography

Now a veteran of the industry, Gail has garnered success in television roles, on stage, in animation and on the big screen.

Gail’s second feature film, From All Sides, was released in 2024 with a screening at Cannes, where she played the caring, but slightly exasperated, Principal O’Donnell. Her first film was the animated A Very Barry Christmas (2008) where she played Lily the Kangaroo.

Recent television credits include guest roles in the first series of Foxtel’s The Twelve (2022), After The Verdict (2022 Nine), Lambs of God (2019 Foxtel) and Fighting Season (2018 Foxtel), plus a couple of sightings on Home and Away (2008, 2017), as well as some lovely character pieces on comedy shows such as Hungry Beast and The Go Show.
Gail’s most recent TV commercials include ANZ (2024), Kayo (2023), DoorDash (2021) and Lamb (2018-19).

Roles of particular note include: a resounding stage return with bad machine (2022 -Campbelltown Arts Centre); a day-long live performance playing three different women and their stories of living with ovarian cancer (2008); and as the voice of the First Mate in the Finding Nemo Ride that has been taking visitors on an undersea voyage around California’s Disneyland since 2007.
