Amy Kmet

Biography

Amy Kmet (she/her) hails from Wellington, New Zealand and is a dedicated actor driven by her commitment to storytelling.  This Australian/Croatian first began Music Theatre training at a young age and completed full-time training at SHOWFIT under the guidance of Scott Johnson, Katherine Tonkin and Mathew Frank in 2021, then enrolling in the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).

Her credits include Marsha in ‘The Three Sisters’ (dir. Katherine Tonkin), Nadia in ‘Archimedes War’ (dir. Krystalla Pearce), Anya in ‘The Cherry Orchard’ (dir. Bagryana Popov), Somebody in ‘Everybody’ (dir. Isabella Vadiveloo) and Andrei Lugovoi and others in ‘A Very Expensive Poison’ (dir. Katy Maudlin). Amy has also been involved in various developing works including Sybylla in ‘My Brilliant Career’ (dir. Mathew Frank) and most recently participated in the initial script development of ‘Hunterers and Gatherers: A Comedy of Urghs’ (dir. Blake Barnard) written by Robbie Dienelt.

Amy’s goals are driven by her desire to amplify the voices and stories of women on both the stage and screen.
