It all began on an exotic sun kissed Spanish island and an innocent 8 year olds request for an autograph from a famous TV star ……..
The 8 year old was Steve Burton and the star, Mr David Hasselhoff!!!
Steven's career in entertainment began when, while holidaying with his family in Majorca he was personally asked by “The Hoff” to fill in for the lead child (who was sick with a bad case of the Spanish trots) in a German TV movie.
After this meteoric taste of stardom Steven realised there was only one way forward from his brush with Hollywood/German stardom and that was down. So not wanting to go down the troubled former “Child Star” road he decided to put his career on hold until it was the right time…..
Steven grew up in South West London and at the age 19 left his band 'The Jammy Dodgers' and the sun shy isles of the UK to seek his fortune on a round the world trip. He finished his 4 year voyage of discovery like many Pome crims before him here in Australia.
A relative new comer to RMK Steven has been their “English guy” for over a year. Cornering the market in “Geezer”, “English cad”, “60's Rock icon” and the "pommie boy next door” He can deliver any British Isles accent with ease and is a fantastic mimic, check out his Little Britain character voices “Shut up and do it ya two faced virgin or you are well gonna get beatings”.
UKTV, ABC, Nova, Lotto, 2DAY FM and Foxtel have already called upon the services of Mr Burton and the list continues to grow.
Steven is currently studying news/journalism, announcing and presentation at Australian Film Television and Radio School. Using the skills learnt there and his love of music he presents and produces his own breakfast show on Bondi FM. With a view to one day moving up to the commercial big leagues.
