Shae Brewster has achieved a lot for her 21 years. She was the youngest presenter at the age 14 to host Override (CHANNEL 7), juggled high school and hosting role on Totally Wild (CHANNEL 10), moved alone to Sydney at the age of 17 to present highest rating kids show on Australian television Saturday Disney (CHANNEL 7) and made it through a night at the Logies after having 2 plates of gravy spilt on her by a clumsy waitress!
Shae’s television career started in 1998 after a grueling audition process which resulted in Shae being selected from 2000 hopefuls to host Channel 7’s Override.com.au. By the end of this series, Shae had caught the attention of Network 10 executives and was offered a hosting role on long running children’s show, Totally Wild. Shae became the youngest presenter and segment producer within the network all this while still at high school!
In 2000, Shae whipped out a microphone, dusted off her congas and formed the band Emerge with her older sister. The group became one of the most popular cover bands in Brisbane and later Sydney, rocking it out in such venues as the Sheraton Hotel, Jupiter’s Casino and the Versace Hotel on the Gold Coast, Coogee Bay Hotel, Café Sydney and The Mean Fiddler.
Midway through year 12, (2002) Shae was head hunted by Channel 7 to be one of 3 hosts on Seven’s Saturday Disney. At 17, Shae made the ‘big’ move from her home town Brisbane, to Sydney to take up the position.
Shae can be seen on Saturday mornings between 7 and 9 am interviewing celebrities such as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Nick Lachey, Chris Brown, The Veronicas and Lee Harding. She also acts in the show’s most recent drama, A page in Time which she co-wrote and co-produced. In between her hectic filming schedule, Shae has recently completed studies at NIDA, is currently studying marketing at Monash University and developing tv series concepts.
