It’s been ten years since Cecelia started behind the mike, volunteering as a presenter at a London Hospital Radio station! Since those early days of taking requests from sick folk, she’s voiced hundreds of radio commercials, tv commercials, corporate presentations, radio sketches and played a raft of different characters in children’s animated TV series.
Cecelia has been the voice of many successful radio and tv advertising campaigns, including Garnier, Australian Unity, Myer, Kmart, Coles Express, Country Racing Victoria and The Herald Sun to name a few. Her corporate clients have included NAB, Mattel, Monash Uni and ANZ, and she has voiced Radio station imaging for Triple M and 2DAY network stations around the country.
She has a great range of accents and character voices and has played characters in many creative ad campaigns including Nandos, Cadbury, Ambi Pur, Old El Paso, and a radio serial for South Cape cheese.
Cecelia is very versatile and adaptable in the studio with a good ear and great technical knowledge. She is currently using her convincing British accent to narrate ‘The Spirit of London’, a cable sports show which will air worldwide in the lead-up to the London Olympics in 2012.
Voice acting is a real passion for Cecelia- her aim was to work in Animation, and in 2008 she got the chance to play Tabby and Aunty Dott in Moody St Kid’s production of Sumo Mouse, which screened on Network 10 and ABC3 as well as in overseas markets. She then played around 16 characters, including dogs, cats, aliens and fleas in the upcoming series Flea Bitten, due to screen on Channel 9 in 2012. She is currently recording a third series with Moody St Kids called Shezow, playing the character of Wanda.
Be it a rough Aussie twang, a sophisticated polished sell, a saucy French accent or a grumpy old grandma, Cecelia will tackle it and deliver a great result for you.
If she looks or sounds familiar, maybe you heard Cecelia hosting the Australian music show, Sunday nights on the 2Day network over 5 years or caught her in Season 2 of the Librarians.
