Cecelia has been working in radio and as a Voice Over Artist in Melbourne since the early 2000s. During that time she’s worked with numerous clients providing them with a fun recording experience and a professional result.
She approaches every project with a sense of interest and excitement – even the long and wordy ones – and she still feels so privileged to do this for a job!
Her clients have included Toyota, Singapore Airlines, STA travel, Kathmandu, ANZ, Cadbury, the Victorian Government, Clarks Shoes, Lumo Energy, Swisse Vitamins, Chemist Warehouse, The Triple M and Hit networks Australia wide, and years of international TV show narrations. She has also created voices for a load of cartoon characters in programs like SHEZOW, SUMO MOUSE, KU KU HARAJUKU and FLEA BITTEN.
Her work is used on radio, TV and online, in cinemas and even for in-flight messaging and entertainment.
With a home studio set up, Cecelia can turn a script around quickly and professionally, providing WAV files or MP3 files as required.
Always looking for a way to improve her knowledge and skills, Cecelia has studied accents and vocal technique with renowned Voice coach Anna McCrossin-Owen for many years. She attended a voice teachers conference in New York in 2009 and continues to study acting and singing.
Cecelia knew from an early age she loved working with her voice, especially after travelling to Europe as a child and hearing plenty of new vocal sounds. She would listen and mimic everyone she came across and practised until the accents felt right. When she got a taste for radio at the age of 16, Cecelia knew she had found her place!
After completing an Honours Degree (Media Arts) at Deakin University, she went on to learn the radio ropes at PBS Melbourne and St Mary’s Hospital Radio London. While studying the Grad Dip in Commercial Radio at Swinburne she got her first radio on-air gigs with the Ace Network in Horsham and Colac.
After the Ace Network, Cecelia was part of the crew at Southern Cross Austereo, working for both Triple M and Fox FM for nine years, in a range of roles. She worked as an on-air host, audio producer and show producer for the legendary Tony Martin’s ‘Get This’.
Working in radio stations allowed Cecelia to experiment and find her voice-over styles; she brought hundreds of commercials to life, while also creating characters and writing commercial copy and daily radio content.
Cecelia also hosts a podcast with Women’s Hormone Revolutionist Nat Kringoudis called ‘The Wellness Collective’ on PODCAST ONE. They chat and laugh about all aspects of health and wellbeing, enabling Cecelia to use her radio skills, while learning how to make life happier and healthier.
