The first of four with twin sisters, Carlie learnt at an early age the art of being heard. Though shy as a young kid, she soon found a niche in debating and theatre/musicals taking the lead role as the villain in The Man of Steel and the Spanish Rose in Bye Bye Birdie.
She started doing voice overs at the age of 14 and quickly began to get a feel for the machinations of the Advertising and Entertainment industry.
In 2004 her HSC results saw Carlie top her school in Art, Drama and Legal Studies but the following year she decided to pursue study of another kind, traveling with the production crew of a musical documentary series being filmed in Europe, as a wardrobe assistant.
The past year has; however, been the most exciting and challenging for Carlie by far. Moving to a university college in the country she pursued her love of a good debate through a degree in Arts and Law. This gave her the freedom to experiment more and spread her wings with her passion for theatre. She also wrote and performed her own pieces and even qualified for a lead role in the productions by the final year students - though only a first year student herself.
Carlie threw herself into her performances, tackling everything from a disgruntled and embittered clown to a fiery divorcee and, as a result, received much praise. Her quirky sense of humour, quick wit - with a cheeky edge - and insight beyond her years mean that Carlie has a unique spark to fire any challenge.
